How the Traineeship works:
You’ll be employed by a Law Firm as a Trainee, gaining valuable skills and experience as you work, whilst also studying in work hours for a nationally-recognised accredited qualification, BSB30320 Certificate III in Legal Services, BSB40620 Certificate IV in Legal Services or BSB50720 Diploma of Paralegal Services – and paid for in full by the law firm.
To qualify, you’ll have an interest in Legal and be keen to gain a nationally-recognised, accredited legal qualification, as well as:
Be available Monday to Friday during standard office hours.
Have successfully completed VCE and not have already completed the qualification.
Be an Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident or New Zealand Citizen residing in Australia for over 6 months.
Have accurate typing, Microsoft Word and good spelling and grammar.
Be able to speak with clients etc in a clear, professional, confident manner.
Be hardworking, enthusiastic and reliable.
Examples of some of the tasks you may carry out in your Traineeship with the Law Firm:
Typing and putting together legal documents, letters, emails etc.
Photocopying, collating and binding legal documents.
Arranging meetings and sending online calendar invites.
Entering accurate information on systems.
Helping with answering calls and speaking with clients and many other parties.
