This course is provided by online flexible learning. You can start whenever you choose and after that you can study whenever it suits you from wherever you choose.
The time allowed to complete this course is up to 12 months. The estimated total hours of study to complete this course is 380 hours.
All fees in relation to the study of this course are included in the above Course Fees. The only extra fees are for a replacement Certificate of Completion/Statement of Attainment ($47.50 per item) or when you apply for re-assessment of an assessment ($47.50).

This course is suited to you whether you are new to the legal industry; currently in the industry and wanting to learn more; or returning to the workforce and wanting to gain an accredited legal qualification.
Upon gaining this qualification, you should have the skills and experience to obtain employment in an entry-level role within a law firm or similar legal environment. You may also wish to go on to complete our other qualifications BSB40620 Certificate IV in Legal Services or BSB50720 Diploma of Paralegal Services.
This qualification comprises 10 Units of Competency to complete via an online virtual law firm environment, where you are a “pretend” Legal Assistant, carrying out activities and answering questions regarding activities commonly found in a real law firm.
From the Student Portal, you will gain access to our interactive eLearning activities and readings. Written and practical assessments are carried out at the end of each Unit and sent to us through the Student Portal to show you have gained the required skills and knowledge. We mark each assessment and once you are deemed “competent” you move to the next one, until you have completed the course. Where you receive a “not yet competent” outcome, we let you know the changes needed to get a “competent” outcome.
There are no specific entry requirements to our courses and we encourage mature-aged students and and anyone with an interest in legal to apply. Sufficient proficiency in written and spoken English is preferred and internet access is needed, as well as a basic proficiency level in typing and computer skills including access to Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
